Fayette County Public Schools is known for providing a “private school” level education for all students.

Not only is the system highly acclaimed for its academic rigor and achievement, but it also offers students a well-rounded educational experience by providing many opportunities for extracurricular participation in the areas of fine and performing arts, technology, business and entrepreneurship and sports. Comprised of 14 elementary schools, five middle schools, five high schools, one nontraditional high school, one alternative high school, and the Center of Innovation.

The Fayette County school system has more than 20,000 students enrolled in grades Pre-K through 12th Grade, and an impressive high school graduation rate of 89%.
